Education Ministries

Education and teaching ministries are designed to enhance the understanding and maturity levels of believers. Using a scripturally based bible curriculum, Education Ministry teachers endeavor to impart biblical truths which promote growth in the lives of hearers. Age-appropriate training materials and bible curriculum are essential to the spiritual development of new converts, growing children and teens, and seasoned believers. Anything alive grows and models some of the same characteristics as the fruit from which it was taken. Jesus said, “The words I have spoken to you are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63) Our goal is to teach believers to be like Jesus.
Sunday School
Sunday School Classes are provided for various educational groups and age levels in the body of Christ. Sunday School classes present the opportunity for the attendee to participate and ask questions about the standard Bible-based curriculum which has been provided in advance. This systematic study of the Bible has been regarded by many as fruitful and noteworthy in its approach.
Wednesday Bible Study
Wednesday Night Bible Study offers an interactive study on diverse subject matters and provides unique opportunities for believers to interact with other students in a novel setting. The core understanding is, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15)
Ministrial Bootcamp
GBCA participates in bi-annual ministry growth opportunities which foster and promote in-depth study among member church leaders. Bootcamp embraces the need for growth and maturity in servant leaders along developmental areas affecting present and future ministry opportunities. Deacons and ministers, elders and servant leaders are invited to participate in ministerial bootcamps composed of like-minded leaders from area churches. The bootcamp experience exposes future and upcoming leaders with a calling to embrace in-depth teaching which is intended to impact their future development and enhance their growth and service potential.
New Members Class
New Members Class is designed to foster a developmental faith in new converts and individuals who desire to join the local assembly. This class is foundational and builds upon the scriptures as recorded in Hebrews 6:1-3 which declares, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement. And this we will do, if God permit.”
Vacation Bible School
The summer season provides an excellent opportunity to infuse a week-long Bible-centered study time for children and adults. Vacation Bible School adopts a theme and curriculum for class participants to get closer to God. The weekly activities are filled with arts and crafts so younger children can embrace Jesus on their level, where older youth, young adults and mature saints can embrace the gospel through extended study. The week-long activities culminate with an informal gathering so all participants can showcase their renewed relationship with Jesus Christ.
